KRC Local Ride, 5th Feb 2017 (Sunday)
Kymco Rider’s Club will kick off the 2017 activities with a local ride to the Air Force Museum of the Singapore Air Force and the Battlebox on the Fort Canning Hill. After the visits, we will round up the event with a prosperous (Halal) Loh Hei feast.
All KRC members are highly encouraged to participate.
There will be no fee collection upfront. Participants will self pay on that day.
Air Force Museum: Free Admission
The Battlebox: Adult: S$18, Child (7 – 12 years): S$9, including a tour
Loh Hei (venue to be confirmed): To be shared among participants
The Air Force Museum is a physical embodiment of the history, heritage, and values of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF). Since its inception at Changi Air Base on 1 September 1988, the museum has come a long way. Today, it stands in a new compound next to Paya Lebar Air Base and creatively combines original artefacts with interactive media. The Battlebox is a former WWII British underground command centre inside Fort Canning Hill in the heart of Singapore City. It was part of the headquarters of Malaya Command, the army which defended Malaya and Singapore in WWII. It was inside the Battlebox that the British decided to surrender Singapore to the invading Japanese on 15 February 1942. Read more…
